Raye Adkins was born in Palestine, Texas, and resides near San Antonio, Texas. Dedicated to public education, she retired as an award-winning elementary school principal. Her first book, "Letters to My Father: The Gifts", explores the WWII historical depiction of the Port Chicago munitions disaster, the traumatic loss of her father, and the impact it had on her life. Raye’s writing reflects her faith, travels, experience, and the desire for her works to bring comfort and hope to others.
