Welcome to the San Antonio Ethnic Arts Society (SAEAS) website. SAEAS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit multicultural artist collective dedicated to promoting the appreciation and understanding of African American visual arts. Our programs include exhibitions, youth arts education, and the SAEAS Abaraka Award. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or participating in our programs.

By accessing or using our website, submitting payments, donations, applications, or participating in SAEAS programs, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Use of Website
The content on this website is for informational and non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any materials from the site without written permission from SAEAS. You agree not to misuse the site or interfere with its security features.

2. Membership and Payments
Membership is open to individuals who support the mission and goals of SAEAS. Annual dues are payable by check, Zelle, or PayPal and must be renewed by the end of September each year. Members receive benefits including promotional support, exhibition opportunities, access to artist resources, and a member profile on our website.

3. Donations
SAEAS accepts tax-deductible donations via check, Zelle, and PayPal. All donations are voluntary and non-refundable. Donation data is handled securely and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. Volunteer Participation
Volunteers are welcome to assist with SAEAS programs and events. By volunteering, you agree to act respectfully and in good faith. SAEAS reserves the right to remove any volunteer who fails to adhere to organizational guidelines or conduct standards.

5. Intellectual Property
All content on the SAEAS website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and videos, is the property of SAEAS or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. Artists retain the copyright to their own submitted artwork but grant SAEAS the right to use images for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.

6. Event Participation
Participation in SAEAS events, workshops, or exhibitions is subject to availability and eligibility. Some opportunities may be juried or curated. SAEAS may require signed agreements for participation in exhibitions or programs.

7. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party sites for convenience. SAEAS is not responsible for the content or practices of those external sites.

8. Limitation of Liability
SAEAS makes reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of the information on this site but makes no guarantees. We are not liable for any damage(s) arising from the use or inability to use our website or participation in our programs.

9. User Comments, Feedback, and Other Submissions

If, at SAEAS request, visitors send certain specific submissions or without a request from us visitors send creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by email, by postal mail, or otherwise (collectively, ‘comments’), visitors to the website agree that SAEAS may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you, the visitor, forward to SAEAS. Website visitors agree that your comments will not violate any right of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality, or other personal or proprietary right. Website visitors further agree that your comments will not contain libelous or otherwise unlawful, abusive, or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Service or any related website. 10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts located in San Antonio, Texas.

11. Prohibited Uses

We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service or any related website for violating any of the prohibited uses.

12. Disclaimer Of Warranties; Limitation of Liabilities

In no case shall the San Antonio Ethnic Art Society, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless San Antonio Ethnic Art Society and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

14. Acknowledgement of Terms and Conditions
At SAEAS's sole discretion, SAEAS reserves the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to SAEAS' website. It is the website visitor's responsibility to check SAEAS' website periodically for changes. The website visitor's continued use of or access to SAEAS' website following the posting of any changes to these Terms and Conditions constitutes acceptance of those changes.
