Allee Wallace

Allee Wallace, born in Sugarland, Texas, received a camera at age eight and built a lifelong career as a photographer and composer. A U.S. Army veteran and retired UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures staff photographer, Allee notably documented San Antonio’s Martin Luther King Day marches, the largest in the U.S. A graduate of Texas Southern University, Wallace lives in San Antonio displaying work that captures African American life and faith, while creating biblical compositions that reflect deep spiritual commitment.
