Multidisciplinary Artist

Rhonda BeLue is a multifaceted multidisciplinary artist. A former professional African and modern dancer, she brings rhythm, movement, and a little attitude to everything she creates. As a lapidary and jewelry artist, Rhonda turns stones and metals into bold, wearable statements that celebrate beauty, culture, and individuality.  Her fiber art combines vibrant colors, rich textures, and traditional techniques to tell stories of memory, identity, and the African diaspora. She is also an African American science fiction writer who imagines new worlds where Black people shape the future, honor the past and revel in the now. In her role as a public health and health policy professional she also works in the intersection of arts and health and how art can be used as a medium for healing and community building. Her art honors the healing power of art.
