About the Event

The Beacon at Midtown Gallery welcomes all to the Closing Reception and Artist Talk of Porschia Danielle, creator of the “Elevated Perspectives" exhibition—in an afternoon of reflection conversation and inspiration. In this powerful exhibition, Porschia Danielle explores the intersection of the earthly and the eternal through abstract portraiture and natural imagery. Using luminous acrylic washes that echo the softness of the sky, her work invites viewers into a posture of awe, surrender, and hope. Through shifting monochromatic tones and radiant color, Elevated Perspectives reflects on the omnipresence of God — a love as vast as the horizon and as close as a breath. During the artist talk, Porschia will share insight into her creative process, spiritual inspirations, and the stories behind the portraits that embody freedom, light, and divine intimacy. The conversation will be moderated by Kendrea Kelly, whose longstanding friendship with the artist and shared faith promise an authentic and engaging dialogue. Come celebrate the closing of this meaningful exhibition, connect in community, and leave feeling lighter, seen, and deeply loved. We look forward to gathering with you.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION: Elevated Perspectives explores the intersection of the earthly and the eternal through abstract portraiture and natural imagery. Using the sky as a shared, sacred symbol, Porschia Danielle invites viewers to experience God’s omnipresence—vast as the horizon, intimate as a breath. Acrylic washes echo ethereal skies, forest canopies, and figures seen from below, reflecting a posture of surrender and awe. Through shifts between monochrome and full color, her work reveals God’s presence as both a quiet anchor and a radiant celebration. Porschia hopes viewers leave feeling lighter, reminded that they are seen, held, and deeply loved.
