Asantewaa Eriyani lo-Liyong is a chef, food storyteller, and founder of Food Horizons, a non-profit dedicated to promoting sustainable food practices and celebrating diverse food cultures. Through initiatives like the Food Horizons Forums and the Secret Food Stories Festival, she brings together communities, chefs, and artists to explore the intersection of food, culture, and sustainability.
She is also the creator of The Art of Food, an experiential dinner series that connects people through food, art, and storytelling. Born in South Sudan, with experiences in South Africa and the United States, her culinary philosophy is grounded in three values: Food is Love, Food is Art, and Food is Ubuntu. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Cape Town Hotel School, and a Master’s in Food Business from the Culinary Institute of America.
